SHAPE YOUR PLANT
Our FÆK plants are packed in a small box so we can ship them to you, but they need some love after unpacking them:

01 — UNPACK
Remove the ribbons and all the packaging that is used to keep the plant safe.

02 — ARRANGE THE BRANCHES
Put your plant in the desired location and arrange the branches the same way as they would grow naturally. Avoid symmetry but go for a slightly imperfect arrangement to get the most natural look. If your plant is placed in a corner or next to a wall you can arrange the branches more to the visible side to get a fuller effect .

03 — SHAPE THE LEAVES
Each leaf will either be folded upwards or will come separate from the plant, but all leaves need be shaped into a more ‘rounded’ form. If you get a package of separate leaves like with the Kentia palms, there will be different sizes. Watch our video below to see how we arrange these for a natural look.

04 — CHOOSE YOUR PLANTER
The concrete base of the plant is only for stability, but it is no indicator for the size of the actual planter you should use. Bigger pots look more luxurious than smaller versions, so always oversize. As a rule of thumb we use this sizing: Diameter 30 cm for plants up to 180 cm - Diameter 40 cm for plants 180cm - 240 cm - Diameter 50 cm for plants 240 cm -300cm. Also take into account the width of the plant. The wider the plant, the wider the pot.

05 — POT YOUR PLANT
Put the concrete base in your planter at the desired height. If you want your plant to look it’s biggest, fill the bottom of the pot with with something you have on hand (an upside down plastic container, a box, a brick) but make sure it is a stable base. Fill the space around the base with pebbles, polystyreen, foam,... to the top of the base. Cover everything around the trunk of the plant with a natural material. Brown or white pebbles, moss or actual soil are perfect.
